Not so happy as a clam?

Is this going to be a problem. I just added this rose bubble tip anemone. Since the picture(about a week) it has now decided to snuggle up right against the clam.

the clam was a little happier before--its mantle was open more

from that first pic it appears to me that the clam is reacting to having the anemone so close. if he is holding his mantle in or away from the anemone, you could have a problem down the road. it may not be having a visible immediate negative effect on the clam but the stress / waste of energy from holding its mantle back will eventually catchup with the clam.

like me poking you in the ribs, you can handle it for the short term but what about a week, month, year......

HTH :)

thanks --I guess I'll have to move the clam--since I can't move the anemone;)
