Not sure what's going on with leather

In the last couple days my leather looks really good in the mornings when lights first come on it opens up and polyps come out but when I come home after work it doesn't look so good at all. However all my other corals look fine. I can't figure out what is going on

30 gallon sump
4 inch sand bed
About 85 pounds live rock
Reef octopus 110 protein skimmer
Hydor 1400gph power head
900 gph return pump
And an insump uv sterilizer
Other corals include 2 trachyphyllia, 1 other leather that is doing okay, some ricordia mushrooms, goniapora, some zoos, sun coral, and some acans
Fish include mandarin, 2 mocha clowns, pink spotted watchman pistol shrimp, conch, fire shrimp, some peppermint shrimp and snails
Sorry to blabber on just wanted to make sure I covered everything that might come up as questions

I would try increasing the flow around it for starters. Once they have a secure base, it's amazing how much they can take. This also helps with the shedding process. Running a little GAC might help as well. (if your not already)

Yea I've been running carbon and changing it out about every other day right now thinking there might be some toxins in the water and I'll be adding a jebeo 25 once I get it in to help with flow but thanks for the advice I'm wondering if my turbos are knocking into him during the day disturbing it

I wouldn't worry they've got a habit of sulking for days on end and are practically bullet proof .you're properly find within a few days it will open up again.[emoji3]
