November Meeting

Hi all,
I just checked in and saw about the problem that cropped up with having the merting at Mel's on Saturday. If there's still a desire to have the meeting this weekend, Sarah and I could host at our place.
I'm still out in Death Valley doing field work and won't be home until Friday afternoon. But I'll check in again this evening and if there's a desire to have the meeting at our place, I'll send out directions, etc.

Really I've been busy enough that I won't know until I see how far behind I am with school work... I'm game for having a meeting at Jeff's though... I haven't seen his tank since last year sometime...

Oh, and I have the PAR meter... I tried to give it back to Kim, but she left it at my house...

Since this next meeting is about selling stuff online, I thought I'd share the following private message exchange between a potential plant-buyer and myself from another forum (plantedtank.net) for amusement:
Potential Buyer: You have a deal there what is your paypal info i will pay tommarow!!!!
macclellan: Hi, what deal are you referring to? Something I had posted for sale? If so, what?
macclellan: I see now...I found the thread. My paypal is xxxxx@xxx.com < [my correct paypal address]
Potential Buyer: Hey your paypal does not work im not new to paypal either you sure you have your email right?
macclellan: That is the correct address and I assure you it works. Are you sure you spelled it properly? Copy and paste....
Potential Buyer: i did evrything it does not work i really want these plants please lets make something work i think you have it spelled wrong
macclellan: I don't know what to tell you. Frankly, I see misspellings in your typing and I assure you that the error is not on my end. Send me your paypal email address and I'll send you an invoice via Paypal.

That's the last I heard from him. Moral of the story: Some potential customers are pretty challenging (or rather: "challenged"?). :rollface:

So, I would really like to have it at my house next weekend but if you guys wanna do it this weekend at Jeff's, then that's ok with me.
There's not a ton of people coming to it, so that's why I figured no one would care if we moved it.
Seriously though, if you guys want to do it this weekend then I'll just have one at my house next year.

Well, since Mel was the original host and would still like to host, let's do next weekend at her place. I was just offering up our place in case there was strong demand to have it this weekend, but it doesn't seem like that's the case. I'll host one sometime next year.
Randy - you're still welcome to see the tank this weekend if you want. I think we've both owed each other those frags for nearly a year now!

Nope...not yet. We can't exactly have a backyard BBQ wedding when it's this cold so we're just going to wait until it's spring. Plus it seems like everything piles up at the end of the year, so Nathan thought it would be a crappy time of year to have an anniversary.
So no...not just yet.
About the chili, I think I'll make it a tiny little bit spicy then have some chopped jalapenos on the side. Also, we have a million hot sauces around the house due to Nathan's obsession with all things spicy.
