Nudi ID Please

I don't have any pix, but I have some kind of nudibranch cruisin around in my tank. The first time I noticed it was under a small overhang on a piece of live rock. I didn't know at the time that it was a nudibranch though, I thought it was a mushroom. I have (as probably many of you) some mushrooms that are loose and floating around the tank and occassionally peak out of the rock work. I thought this was one of them, until today. It's black and round. It even looks like it has a faux mouth in the center that opens and closes, my guess is it's just a flap of skin similar to what a sea hare has. But the nudi is almost completely round like a mushroom. Today it came out again and I noticed it was slowly and I mean SLOWLY moving around, I looked closer and saw that it actually had a couple of antenna like appendages, this is when I finally realized it is a nudi and not a mushroom. Does anyone have any idea what it is and if I should get rid of it?

Off topic, but I had to tell someone, today I purchased a Blue Ricordia, I can't wait until it gets comfortable in it's setting and really opens up!

Can you post a picture of the slug? Approximately how big is it? One of the greatest marine invertebrare resources on the web is:

Unfortunately, if you don't know sea slugs very well (I don't) you have to click around randomly until you find something that looks sort of like yours and then look at all of its relavites.

I just found something in my tank, that sounds exactly like what u described. Did some searching, and ID'ed it. Mine is a Scutus, which is a kind of limpet. And from the research I've done, have concluded they r good for the tank. They eat green film algae, and don't bother corals....

Aquaman, that's EXACTLY it! Thanks, glad to hear it wont do any damage to my tank, a real sigh of relief. Isn't that weird how it looks just like a mushroom, it even looks like it has a mouth in the center. That's some really good camoflauge! I tell ya, gotta love live rock, you never know what you'll get and some things don't appear for a couple of weeks or even months. Thanks again, this is why I love this site.
