Nudi

Hey all,

Found a nudi in my new tank today. None of the frags I brought to the swap came from my tank, so don't be worried about that, but everyone should keep an extra eye out for them. I don't know if I got it at the swap, but I've never seen one before. Just wanted to put out a general notification for everyone.

Moving on, I haven't seen any more nudis or any eggs, but I have to imagine they are around. I was planning to have a possum wrasse in my new setup. I've read that these will eat nudis. Anyone have any experience with these fish?

I see live aqaria mentions that they are jumpers, which could be bad for me. I believe all wrasses are like this?

Ben what type of nudi? Zoa or monti type?

I have two at my work they are very pugnacious. They like to try to turn over the snails and nip at them. But that is in a 12"x12" cube they might be less apt to do that in your 100 gal tank.

I'm not real familiar with these, so I googled around a little. It kinda looks like a Berghia Nudibranch, but more yellow than the pictures I have seen.

Berghia Nudibranch would be good, especially if you have any Aptasia

if its a berghia nudi then you want them! I eradicated the ones I had in my tank because someone told me they were nasty pests, then I found out how wrong they were. Can you take a picture?

I wasn't sure what type it was, so I pulled it. Couldn't get a pic, sorry. I'll try better next time if I see one. From comparing to pictures I have, I couldn't tell if it was a pest or not.

+1 I'll take em off your hands... No lfs stores have em in stock out here can order them. But CO's that I have seen that had them had mixed reviews.....
