Nudibranch Eating Wrasses

Does the Halichoeres trispilus eats nudibranch? and do u think a 35 gallons tank is enough for him?
Thanks

I have 5 yellow coris wrasses, sixline, and 3 green coris wrasses... Still find nudis, not as many though.

Those fish I doubt will eat the eggs, they will eat the nudis. So to fully erradicate them besides biological control, you need to add manual removal of the egg masses.

imo sixline wrasse is the best fish for pest control. downside to them is if they go in first chances of adding any type of fairy or flasher wrasse is almost none { maybe if you have a huge tank } this is coming from personal experiance. any coris wrasse will do the job also. my leopard wrasse neever went after nudi's but ate everything else. best way to defend against nudi's is to dip all corals first and check for egg's. id rather kill a coral now days then intoduce a pest. been down that road enough to know better now

I agree with NYREEFNOOB.

It is best to always dip your zoas and check for eggs. I forgot to dip a few zoas and sure enough, I was battling zoa eating nudi's for over a year.

The only way I eradicated them out of my display tank, was to remove all z's and p's. Believe me, I will always dip and check for pests before introducing any new coral.

Happy reefing.

Old post I know but I have had a 4" yellow wrass in my 300L tank for years. He died the other day and two weeks later nudibys everywhere so he was obviously doing an amazing job.

Had a similar situation - 6 line was one of my original fish. Removed it and next thing I know nudis are decimating my zoas.

Got a new 6 line but it doesn't seem to have the same appetite for nudis =/

Building out a new tank though, so going to QT and dip all the zoa rocks.
