Has anyone every seen/heard of this? I've got what look like berghia on my button polyps. I'm not sure if the polyps are irritated or being eaten.

I could take a pickture but i dont have a zoom that would show any amount of detail other than a little blob.

Anyone?

If it's on the zoas, then it is very likely eating them. You should take it off and consider dipping the colony. There's a thread/sticky in the Zoanthidforum about dipping.

Also, look carefully and be sure to remove all nudis and eggs from the colony.

Thanks guys!

That’s exactly what they look like. I feel bad destroying such a beautiful look creating. Under my atenics the orange coloring is brilliant looking, but my polyps are much more important.

the coloring on it is so beautiful because it is eating and incorporating your zoas into its tissues.

I just experienced this myself after noticing my zoas were all closed up for a week. I have no idea where they came from but it really was annoying.

I managed to kill them all using Flatworm Exit. I have a 90g and used a lil over half the bottle which was around 1.6 - 1.8x the normal dosage.

Before dosing, I would make sure your tank doesn't have a flatworm problem though... that could totally do some real damage to your tank if you didn't look out for it beforehand.
