Number of clowns?

I am planning a 40 bdr tank with at least a 29 gallon sump, and I would like to keep more than one pair of true perc clowns in it. Is it even possible, and how many would I need to keep? I already have 2 pairs (separate tanks right now) that I would like to be able to put in my new tank, but I am not sure if it will work and if so if more would be needed to reduce aggression.

Your best best is to stick with just one pair, especially with that size tank.

It may work for a little bit, in time when a pair forms there will be lots of fighting.

Sure this would work, put one pair in the display and one pair in the sump.
Otherwise +1 for what Todd said.
