Yeah, that is interesting - assuming it's not just an old pack that 'surfaced', the timing is good because my stash of the stuff is just about to run out.

Edit: scratch that, relooking at the OP's picture, there are multiple packs on the left. Good news indeed.
 
oh man, i hope this starts coming back in stock quickly. i could never find this local and always had to order. i've been hoarding my last 100g pack for like two years at this point.
 
After seeing this thread on 12/16, I got in touch with the owner of my lfs and told him what I saw here. He said he would check on it and order some if it was possible.
A week later he had some in stock.

I would suspect that after the first rush of everybody trying to get theirs, that it will be more available soon.

That's too funny, me too! It's my go-to food for really picky fish - but as soon as they're eating, the pack gets re-hermetically sealed.
 
All the LFS around me suck. I called and asked if they had any or would order some and they all acted like they had never heard of Nutramar Ova before... Just one more reason why I don't shop at my LFS

Likewise ..... Even the 'hi end' stores claimed to not know what it was ..... sigh

it's good to know i'm not the only one that treats my dwindling supply like Gollum treats The Precious.

it makes me so mad when i try it and fish won't eat it. darn fish, don't you know this stuff is essentially unobtanium?!
 
Not sure why it's hard it's prawn eggs. Not like prawns stop spawning :)

I have heard, but have no hard evidence to substantiate this, that it may have had something to do with the prawn disease that was sweeping Asian fisheries.

It's the packaging that is hard. There is another option for a similar product but easily 1/2 are broken when defrosted.

I've been using LRS Fish Eggs which are good substitute, but they are more difficult to prepare/use.

Been hounding two LFS to order some Nutramar Ova..hopefully they get some.
 
How do you folks incorporate this product in your fishes' diet? I don't have finicky eaters. I bought a pack of it two days ago. I mixed it with mysis shrimp.
