O. brevirostris?

Hi Dr. Caldwell,
I recently acquired what I think is an O. brevirostris, one of the PNWMAS members brought it to a meeting, a friend had collected and sent it to him from Hawaii. I was reading what you said about them, and mine hides constantly. It's carved out quite a nice little burrow in the piece of LR I put in for it. Is it a matter or time before the little bugger adjusts to it's new home and comes out, or is it a case of mistaken ID. I'd love to send you a picture, but it won't even come out to be fed.
I'd appreciate any advice, thanks for your help,

This species often takes awhile to adapt to a new tank. I've attached a photo that may help you identify it. All O. brevirostris have the same color markings. The eyes are very conspicuous with the dark markings.

Bun-bun (click here http://www.sluggy.com/daily.php?date=970901 to see why I would name a mantis Bun-bun) is rather bright green in color, I'm not sure about the eyes since I'd have to pry him out of the rock to take a look and I have enough scars on my hands as it is.

If it is green and from Hawaii, it is not O. brevirostris. It is either Pseudosquilla ciliata, a spearer, or Gonodactylaceus mutatus, a smasher.

Answers that question then, it's a G. mutatus - the person I got him from kept the spearer for himself. Thanks for the ID!
