O. Scyllarus and Turbos

Has anyone tried to keep their O. Scyllarus (peacock) mantis with any large snails like Turbos? I kept Astraeas with mine and he'd eat them like popcorn. I ask because algae management was a problem. My wennerae is fine with turbos because they're twice his size but I was wondering if anyone had tried them with larger stomatopods.

Haha... your peacock is going to eat anything you put into that tank! Mine did! I had trouble with algea too, that's why I set up a fuge to at least control it a little and it did help!

i have a peacock named bruce, and he is about 6 inches. i keep him with turbos and so far (2 weeks) he has only downed one of them. i feed him silver sides and mysis shrimp every other day, and there are lots of smaller snails in there as well. maybe if you keep his atention focused on somthing else he wont mess with them. however dont be supprised when he does. bruce is also not aggressive.

I kept a large mexi turbo snail with my peacock for over a year before it died (NOT by the mantis strangely enough...)

If I were you i would just get a bunch of bigger snails and hope they last... at least my g. Chiragra loves snails and they dont last long at all.
