hey guys....

me and lifesworks are going on a last minute trip to vegas...but we really arent going to have the chance to plan out our trip. I've heard its a great place and im pretty excited-

does anyone have any of those "cant miss" type suggestions....we are only going to be there 3 days so i want to make sure i see all the good stuff!

thanks!

See as many of the shows you can. I really liked Monty Pythons holy grail. VERY funny especially if you have seen the movie.

we arent too much into shows or gambling - but i love comedy and animals - so we are probably going to go see a couple of them - any aquariums there or any animal shows? what comedy shows should we see? maybe some pirate dinner shows or something? i am trying to think about stuff i have seen on tv about the place - but any suggestions would help - also i am sad to have to tell everyone that we will not be at the meeting saturdaynight which is like two mins from my house and one meeting i was wanting to take notes at. i love sumps and what they can do for your systems. i hope all my friends that go can remember enough when i pick there brains when we get back. hahaha everyone is going to have cooler sumps then me (not that they dont already). i love kobes - they should sell shirts like hard rock cafe

There is an aquarium that has a whole bunch of exhibits like sharks and tangs and stuff. It's at the Mandelay Bay.

Make sure you check out the old strip. Its a big tourist trap, but if your into history and want to see what it was like back in the 70s thats the place to go. If your on the old strip and want to see some hotels that havent been restored yet head east on the strip and there is the Western and El Cortez. Both awesome sites to see. You will be amazed how far casinos have come.

When Kevin and I went we found siegfried and Roy's "Secret Garden" which is a mini zoo with dolphins and what not too. You can get pretty close to the animals

If you go to Mandalay to see the exhibits there I strongly recommend a restaurant there called the Rum Jungle, its very cool

Across the street from Luxor is the MGM with their lion habitat in the lobby which is very cool. We got our picture taken with and got to pet a lion cub

I WISH I could see Spamalot (the monty python show) it is VERY cool and I listen to the soundtrack, if I could I'd see it in person, very hysterical if you like that sort of thing. Also Penn and Teller's magic show is good I think its at the Rio. Some of the Cirque shows are supposed to be awesome too but I found them pricey since we have Circque du Soleil in our backyards at downdown disney in Orlando.

Also, if you want to try lots of neat food check out the buffet at the Bellagio, its worth it! We found we didn't have to wait long if we showed up for an early-ish dinner, no one eats dinner around there around 6pm or so its always later.

Good luck staying cool in all this heat over there :) Bring back pics!

Oh and you have to stand out front of the Bellagio and see the water show. Its awesome in real life. I second the buffet there to. And at the Aladin the have a really good buffet also, it was ranked # 1 buffet in Vegas for 06. Oh and you will find that everyone sells prime rib out there. On the old strip its cheap as hell, you can get a prime rib dinner for like 5 bucks. Its crazy. Im jealous of you guys I want to go now. lol

Pixiegirl, whats up with your myspace, you kick me off it, now you dont even write back. I see how it is, im not feeling the love anymore.

I just got back from Vegas from work two months ago and Spam alot was hillarious. Definetly one of the best shows. The food over there is amazing too.

chad im never on myspace...dont take it personal...you know im in love with your friend pam ;)

we leave in less than 4 hours!!! im so excited!!! ill post pictures on tuesday!! :D

I'm too late, I think, for you to see what I write, but...

The Hoover Dam is awesome!
and
I love Bautista's Hole in the Wall restaurant.

Vegas has changed a lot since my last visit, but both of these places are outstanding and have stood the test of time. I don't think they allow you to go down into the Hoover Dam, like they did in the 80s and 90s (am I dating myself?), but if they do, make sure not to miss it. Truly an awesome experience I will never forget.

Yea they let you go down in it. You get to see all the pumps and the pipes that the water runs through. Im surprised but they show a lot. I think it was worth spending the money to see it. I actually liked the drive out there more then the damn. lol Once you get in the hills and curvy roads and all the veiws of the lakes its real nice.

so we are back-and we had a good time...here are some pictures...they arent all of them but all the "E" rated ones :D ...
