O/T: Looking for a puppy

Well like the topic says i'm looking for a puppy for my girlfriend..... She wants something smaller but i would much rather have a large dog! Anyone know of anything available?

Take a look in the paper. My wife and I got a Pomeranian/Bijon Friss mix. It's small and fluffy, but we found it about 5 months ago. Good luck on your search!

BTW, do you live near broadway school? There is a white house that you can see 2 actinic setups blasting out of the window when you drive by.

My parents got our puppy from the Elmira shelter... check there as they get litters of puppies in now and again

As mentioned already, check out the local shelters. Elmira and Horseheads are the two I know in this area. Great for finding mixed breed pups but it is hit and miss. You can go today and find nothing and tomorrow they would have a good choice.

I think Montrose has a nice shelter too...we looked when we got our dog and they had like 2 differnet litters of puppies. Just depends on what you are looking for.

Yeah i wish a shelter was an option mutts tend to be really good dogs. I'm pretty sure im gonna end up having to get something that will be more of an accessory than a pet..... She is leaning towards a Yorkie, Pug, or Dachshund. Thanks for all the posts though!

Hey I have a baby dachshund and she's not to bad a pup (for a small dog) actually she has grown on me.Pugs are great very funny but some times not to bright!
Wish I had known this yesterday morning my neighbor just got rid of his last pup last night Mother was pure black lab and the dad was pure american bulldog,BIG pups,all legs!

Heya pimpinitup I have a friend who does puppies. They are smaller puppies. I believe she has shitzu / malteses I'll post a picture of one. Not sure if she has any right now but can ask. I'll see if i can find a picture and post it.. Think they are $100 and already have there first shots. I'll find out if your interested.

This pic is just like all of them. Of course the colors vary all over. Black and white, brown and tan, brown and white, Some all all brown etc... Of course thats my price but i can hook you up my friend

Not yet. Getting closer everyday. Its a work in progress Dosen't help when my workplace cut us back to 3 days a week. Hopefully that won't last much longer.

If you are looking at a pur-bred, I can make a suggestion. We have a Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog)...awesome dog. Very smart, loves her people, easy to maintain...great pet. Awesome with the little one too...
