Ocean Runner Users?

Anyone around here used an ocean runner pump, specifically the 2500? I'm contemplating replacing the Eheim 1250 on my daughters tank with either an Eheim 1260 or an Ocean Runner 2500. I've seen some positive posts about the Ocean Runners but they seem to be from a limited user base.

I have one on my TF1000 skimmer. It lasted about 2 years before I had to replace the shaft. Now that was about 6 months ago and it died again about 3 weeks ago. I am now looking for a better pump or another Ocean runner 2500 needle wheel pump.

If anyone has another suggestion, let us both know.

I have an Ocean runner 2500 on my TF also. I have had no problems from it for a year now.

I cant hear mine over the mag 7 return pump.

I couldn't hear mine over my mag 12.
