Hey,

Just got the biocube and have to set it all up. How do you "knock" out the floor in chamber one? I'd like to stick a heater in there....

Actually I just pushed it out w/my hand. I was amazed how easy that thing came out. I am guessing it was in there to act as a floor for the filter that came with it.

I put my heater in Chamber 1 and kept the filter in there for grins. Going to put a skimmer in Chamber 2. Then upgrade the pump in Chamber 3.

From what I understand, once you bag the bio balls, you can then fill up Chamber 3 and not be bound by the min/max lines.

Hey...Good idea. I bagged my bio balls today - was looking at the Fission Nano-skimmer or the Sapphire BC29 one...pricey. I heard the same about the min/max lines too...

Go for the Sapphire - you won't regret it.

Most of the comments about the Fission are not kind. Do a search to see for yourself.

I have the Sapphire and have been extremely happy.

anyone recommend going skimmerless? In my 75 gallon reef, had a skimmer, so I Never thought about going skimmerless
