Oceanic tech 90Gal canopy?

I recently bought a used 90Gal oceanic tech (upgrading from a 55-gal acrylic). http://www.oceanicsystems.com/products/tech-series.php

I was thinking about making the switch to LEDs, and some people recommended in another post that I check out some custom DIY LEDs: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2025298 I think it's a good idea, and am looking into it now.

However, I am now struggling w/ where to mount the LEDs; seems that I would need a canopy. The stand has a "modern" look, it's made of glass & steel (see oceanic website) so a wood canopy would not be appropriate. I did some searching online and haven't found any "modern" looking canopies.

Most people w/ this tank seem to have either an off-the-shelf light fixture w/ "legs" or go ceiling-mounted. I actually don't mind the ceiling mounted look, but my wife vetoed.

I think a low-profile SS or black acrylic canopy might look good, but I don't know where to find something like that. Seems it would need to be custom-made.

Any suggestions? I'd also love to hear from any other Oceanic tech owners out there, what do you use?

I don't have an Oceanic, but I do like them, and I can understand the conundrum of finding something that fits the more modern aesthetic. You mention the ceiling mount not making the WAF but what I have seen on here occasionally is people mounting bent metal brackets or the like to the back of the tank and hanging them over the tank so nothing has to be mounted to the ceiling.

Something like this here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=17023975&postcount=54

That build, a beautiful one at that, uses a metal bracket to support a mini light enclosure but it could just as easily be wider to support the two ends of a larger fixture(s). Just something to think about.
