oceanpro aquatics purchase..damm. should have known

i was online looking for some dead rock prices, when i ran across oceanpro aquatics. baught 40lbs worth of "Hawaiian Waterfall Live Base Rock". since i am about 60mi from their store shipping wasnt going to be that much. total was 82 and change and was going to take 1 business day. well that was on the 14th. and here we are. after a couple of emails unanswered and a ph call on thurs. only to hear on a recording that they are closed on thurs and fridays.... what the!!!!!!! anyway...... so much for customer service.... fello reefers.... BEWARE!!!!!
 
They wanted to charge me $22 to ship a $6 mogul socket.............After numerous emails to them over the course of a week, they finally responded & tried to tell me that Ebay set the shipping price.......................Now I was born at night, but not last night, so I told him to stick his mogul socket..................I also told him I'd slam him everytime I had the opportunity, so......

OCEAN PRO..........YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!

As long as there is a constant supply of newbies who don't research before there purchase....... At oceanpro, you get what you pay for. Ant that aint much!
 
the only thing oceanpro is good for is LR that you go cherry pick.. other than that there is nothing there..
 
I went there and loved the rock I got. The product was way below retail that I purchased but yea, I wish they were open Thu and Fri too. I guess because they are a wholesaler they aren't going to have standard retail hours. I found that they are only open 4 days a week, but if I can save money and get quality, I'll work around their schedule.

you are right,, should have ran an "oceanpro" search on here. i did however ran a search and found they did have good prices on their DR and LR. i guess now i know why.
but its all bout the customer service. IMO... i will not return anymore or recommend them.... sorry guys (oceanpro). but you did it to yourselves on this one.

Not! There are other places that sell live rock for simular prices, have decent customer service, answer the phone, and they don't have a reputation of ripping customers off. Sometimes the cheapest place is not the best.

I just sent a order for rock
I did a little research on them and seemed to be fine...
We will see
I am in the customer service business and
I am expecting my rock to leave California on Monday
I know Ill be on the phone monday for sure LOL

Where can I find LR for a comprable price to OceanPro?
 
oceanpro is in chino. approx 55-60mi north of me. shipping for my stuff was estimated on their website to take approx 1 day and 6+$$. that was on the 14th that i placed my order.

emails that were sent from my email system(hotmail), and also sent through their own website went unanswered.
.
when i tried to call and find out why my ordered wasnt staring me in the face by now, thats when i found out their hours of business.

closed on thurs, friday, and sunday.
.
i know that eventualy i will recieve my order. i dont believe anyone was ever ripped off. but this, IMO is unacceptable business practices.
.
i dont want to argue with them, or yell and screem. i dont even want to find out the reasons why. i just want what i paid for and move on... thats it.
