I just got one of the Oceanrevive lights. I'm pretty impressed so far. So impressed I just ordered another one. I'm looking to put four of them on my big tank. Researching them, I see they very good reviews and now are a sponsor here on RC. Can't beat a LED light for $148. Now we'll just see if it will grow corals.

from some reviews look they can grow anything...one guy said his leds where starting to go out :/

these do look interesting though

These are the same ones i am looking at. My 6ft T12 URI vho bulbs are getting hard to find, and shipping is killer! I like the idea of controlling with the apex, but not ready to shell out the price for radions or hydras for a softy tank.

I have no problem with the way these are controlled really dont need all the fancy gadgets on the high priced ones. Does it really make them any better? Not in my book just means you got to shell out a ton more money.

My only concern is being chinese "knock off's" I would be afraid of the quality of the parts. However, my Jebao "knock off's" are quite good and I like them a lot. And I was looking at building one of these myself but I think this setup is cheaper than doing it DIY.

I have read very little negative about these. Only heard good stuff from people that actually use them.

So...t'wait a minute. These supposedly cover a 36" area...if you have a 48" 90 will the center portion of the tank be "burned out" by too much light and if you dim it the edges will be too dim?

not saying this is a bad light but if a cheap led goes out or you somehow break it getting it fixed will be no fun at all versus a quality fixture like radion or the ai getting thoes fixed is quite simple and the radiond are made in the usa so shipping them isnt a fortune. just a thought when you go to purchace lights. i like saving money but i hate spending it twice.

That is true...but $300 will buy two fixtures where a single gen 3 radion is $700....I don't know about you, but I can't even come close to affording that.

I have a 40b now so that would be perfect but the plan is to upgrade to a 90 soonish however. I might pick up one to use for now and maybe get a second for when I do get the 90 then put a hood on the tank which would make the wife SUPER happy. Still wondering what that would do to the middle of the tank as the PAR there would double with twice the amount of light there right? Or does it not work that way?
