Oceanrevive

I have 2 of the it2060 models on my tank. they work great for me. The taotronics looks like the same as oceanrevive. Mine were $300 for this model, but be careful not to run at 100% its real easy to bleach out your corals.

But, no one told me that the two different machines will be working on the same frequency which sicks, wish I was informed about this before I purchased

Are you talking about the color channels? The S025 and the T247 both have independently contollable channels.

The thing I keep hearing in this thread is about the customer service. The only time I would use customer service is if the light had problems and died. And with these being under $150 + a year warranty and new compared to radions for $650 + new and with one year warranty. In my opinion if I pay $650 for 1 fixture I expect it to not fail where as with the $150 I could buy 4 of the knock-offs. And if 4 of the Knock-offs cant last a total of 1 year that would be bad but why would I want to pay the difference. For my tank I am building I would have to buy a minimum of 3 of the radions. At that price ($1950 minimum versus $450 for knock-off) you make the decision. I could buy 4 extra backups just in case one fails and still be under half what a radion costs. Is having storm mode really necessary? And with their cost should customer service for the radions be necessary? Customer service should only be necessary if they expect their stuff to break in my opinion. Anyways I went with the cheaper version cause not only would I kill myself for spending that kind of money but the wife would either divorce me or kill me for doing so also as I have already spent over $2500 getting this tank up and running.

I got four of them up now. My tank has that big glass center support. I found by tilting the lights, I can get light to spread all through the tank. I'm running these lights at 50% blue and 40% white.

I think he means rotate them 90 degrees so that they are long with the length of the tank. The led control panels would be to the side, not facing the front of the tank. Hope this clear this up.

I see what you guys are saying now. This weekend I will try rotating two of them on one side and see how it looks. I will respond back with pictures.

Okay let's get it back on track. Pun intended. I am seriously considering getting some of these, seeing as I really need to get rid of my MHs. Too much power consumption overall. I'm looking at the Ocean Revive site and also at their Amazon page and I'm a bit confused. I see this one on the Amazon page but can't find it on the manufacturer's page. It seems to be the best deal but I'm not sure. I just don't see a model number anywhere to confirm which one it is. Am I just really tired and being blind?

HAAAAALP

At $200 a piece it's a lot easier to justify an operational savings. Back of the envelope calculation shows if you run these at 50% (is that typical?) for 9 hours a day then you have a ~$50/yr electricity savings. Add $75/yr for MH bulbs and you have less than a two year payback.
