Oceanrunner pumps by Aquamedic

Hi all,

I don't see the Aquamedic Oceanrunner pumps on your website any longer. Just the Oceanrunner NW pumps. Did you guys discontinue this most excellent line of pumps?

Hey Dave,

We quit bringing in the Oceanrunner regular pumps as they kept increasing pricing on them. We do have the Octopus OTP pumps, which are the exact same pump as the Oceanrunner, built in the same factory in China. Here is a direct link to them.....

i just orderd one hope it it nice and quiet. and works as well as aquamedic.

Are these as quiet as the ocean runners. Also are you going to carry a larger size than 1250gph.

Mine is super quite. More quiet than the quite one 4000 I had. I have the octo 3000

The Octo 5000 @ 1250gph is the largest we have right now. That could possibly change in the future, but I have not heard otherwise.

I am curious why the OTP pumps have a lower GPH than the Ocean Runner pumps if they are the same pumps. Am I missing something?

OR2500: 650 GPH
OR3500: 900 GPH
OR6500: 1700 GPH

OTP2000: 500 GPH
OTP3000: 750 GPH
OTP5000: 1250 GPH

It could be just about anything. Two different ratings from two different OEM's. Different size inlet and outlet barb fittings used, etc. I know that when you set the two pumps side by side there is no denying that they are coming out of the same manufacturing facility.

Makes sense. Does the OTP2000 correspond to the OR2500, then, based on the physical size of the pump? OTP3000 to OR3500? OTP5000 to OR6500?
