Hi
Ive got a 120 gal tank,i usaed to have a 55 gal with 2 Oce and one maroon they got along fine,I eventually moved and they went into a 30 gal the Oce picked on the marron but eventually left him alone.
From what ive been reading on here the last hour is that you cannot have 2 diffrent types together or they will eventually fight/ kill each other.
I really like both equally,i was wondering if i could get one of each (young ones) and be ok? would they maybe even mate someday?we get tank raised versions of Oce and Maroon all the time at my loca fish store.

thanks
jason

i would suggest getting two juveniles with the larger one being the maroon. the ocellaris should have no trouble submitting if it is smaller.

i think its a bad idea. Strange things happen in this hobby all the time. Sometimes fish get allong that souldn't and others that should don't. Clowns can be very territorial especially with other clown species. I think you should just pick one species and then you know most likely all will be well. Or set up two tanks if you really want both species. Just my opinion.

maroon and ocellaris hybrids are becoming fairly common.

from what ive been hearing is the maroon should be larger and a small juvie oc should be used and it will submit to the much larger maroon almost immidiately.

WOW! Those are some cool pics. Do you think ORA would have and of the maroon/ocellaris clowns? I would love to have a red ocelllaris like in the first pic.
