Ocellaris and/or Percula hosting BTA or LTA's ... anyone have one?

I wont to get a BTA or a LTA but I also want something an Ocellaris or Percula will host.

Who has an Ocellaris or Percula that hosts a LTA or BTA and if not what is yours hosting?

We have a 2 ocell. hosting a sebae, I'm hoping I can get another pair to host a bta when we get our second tank up and running, so I'll be following this post :>

I have 2 ocells hosting a green bta in my 65g.

I have since sold them and the tank, but I used to have a pair of trues and a BTA.

Here is a blurry pic.

My CB A. percula pair took to a BTA right away.

Due to my female A. ocellarius' aggressiveness, I had to switch tanks with my A. percula pair. The ocellarius pair is beginning to nudge the BTAs now, after just over 2 weeks of being in their new tank, and are showing signs of wanting to host.

Here are my true perc's in my LTA.

This is the second LTA they have hosted in. In both cases it took about two weeks before they ventured in.

What do you think has a better chance of hosting the BTA ... a wild caught or captive raised. Also should I buy a pair that are at a LFS and that are already hosting a different anemone, lets say a carpet? Or should I buy a pair in a tank with no anemone (I never see ones in LFS that host BTA or actualy in the same tank with them)? Will any of this even matter?

Personally speaking my pair has accepted several different anemones as hosts, including two separate BTAs and a LTA. I would go with captive raised clowns, because they are less likely to harbor a disease (this fact is negated if they are put with wild caught fish in the store). I would imagine, based on my experience, that if a clown has already accepted an anemone as a host, it would be more inclined to accept another. Of course, this is based on my experience of one pair, so take it for what it is worth. =)

I second the captive raised idea. These tend to be hardier and better suited to tank life. My insignificant exeperience with my single pair is similar. They showed a very strong hosting desire, and hosted many things before we added our anemone. But I've been cautioned by local reefers (I've been asking) that there are different kinds of clowns that are more likely to host your bta, it's not impossible, but they didn't want me to be disappointed if mine didn't when I got to that stage.
Good luck!

My Percs host to my RBTA and did from day one. My Black saddle back clown host the RBTA clone and the hairy mushrooms. I have a pair of maroon gold bar clowns that host my 12" blue spot gigas
