ocellaris missing top of first fin

Just bought two ocellaris clownfish. One was a bit larger than the other. the smaller one had a chunk missing out of its first fin. just wondering if this matters at all. very new to salt water tanks and fish. (me and a friend share a tank).

Probably got bit off by another fish. It happens sometimes when pairing clownfish. I would not worry, it should grow back just fine.

If you see ray's sticking out and no fin in between the rays, then you have a problem.

I would separate the aggressor in the breeding net, so she can see the smaller one but cannot attack him, and let the smaller one heal. It might take 2-3 weeks.

Good luck.

HUH?
I don't understand what you're trying to say here.

Are you the same person as the original poster saying that you returned the fish for a different one?
