Ocellaris with Heteractis Crispa?

WOW, you were lucky with the powerhead incident, a BTA went through and didn't make it, but yeah, hopefully it'll host the ocellarises soon.. >< they keep staring at it but then swim away lol.. well I guess its just time..

Sorry about bringing this back again, but did you had any luck ? Did they found the anemone ? I have the same isue.... 2 ocellaris and one Heteractis crispa. Will they ever pair ??

I have a pair of ocellaris for 3 years now. I tried every imagineable anemone to the point where i gave up. They wouldnt host anything. Occasionly frogspawn. Well i got a H. Crispa for nothing and had no where to put it. The only tank available was the one with the above mentioned fish. As soon as i put the anemone in there they both dove into it immediately. I guess you never know.

In my 180 i have another pair hosting a much larger H. Crispa

Thank you for response!
Are there any procedures to help speeding up the pairing process between the clowns and anemone ? Some tips or tricks maybe ?

bok, I think the best trick is to make sure the species of clown is a natural symbiote with the species of anemone you have. With ocellaris, you're likely to get an almost immediate pairing with H. magnifica or S. gigantea. Unforunately, as you probably know, those species don't ship well and so it's difficult initially to get them to survive. Providing them with excellent water parameters until they become established is key. Once established, they are much hardier and forgiving of less than optimal conditions.

The anemine is doing just fine, hydrated and looking good. Also eating a lot . The clowns also .... But they're not toghether ...in the symbiotic way
