So, there were'nt enough of us at the last mtg to discuss much club stuff. Steak and lobster was good though. One thing we are urgently missing is a meeting place this month. Any volunteers?
 
Thanks for starting this up Don, food was great, some people really missed out ;)

We do have a few things to discuss at the next meeting, and hopefully we can coordinate our group orders around it to simplify distribution a little.

I'd like to host another meeting in a few months when things are scaled back to only "out of control hobbyist" level at the house; maybe first of the year or even the Dec. "meeting." If we don't have any volunteer hosts this month we could do a meeting in a public location, although having a tank to look at and talk about is nice!
 
I'd do it, but I just hosted a meeting and it wouldn't be too exciting to come back to my house (except for all the Halloween decorations).
 
I am not certain to make the meeting or else I would offer. Plus, I don't think we want two meetings in a row up on the North side.
 
If nobody volunteers to host the meeting, we need to consider a public place to hold the meeting.
 
I can't... House is in no condition... lol I'm hoping to be able to host by spring though... :) Plus I might not be here Oct 21, so that would set us back a bit...
 
is the 21st the 3rd weekend in october or is it the 14th? if it is the 21st then Sarah and I wont be able to make it either. We would host a meeting but we live in a one bedroom apartment, so space would be very limited.
 
edit on my previous post I just thought about what I asked and then looked at the calendar. I am an idiot sometimes.
 
ok, trying to think of a public place. Wouldn't be a good mtg to ask Dennis if we could do it at his shop since we'd be distributing an online order at the mtg. Stefano's on the strip? Vols have an off week... Some place in West Knox? any other ideas?
 
Mancino's doesn't have a party room anymore but we could congregate there.

I really like their food.
 
Ok...here's the deal...my daughter and boyfriend are coming from Las Vegas to visit..haven't seen her in a year...we are throwing a party for her, why not have a reef club party (/meeting) also for those who are interested? We are having the party on the 4th of November....it's the typical "Stevens" party, food, bonfire, ping pong, hottub and good social time. My tank looks good, especially considering the big SPS crash. I have some frags available, FOR FREE....I broke up my huge candy cane and have about 3 frags to give away plus a nice piece of orange montipora, if anyone would be interested...(Xenia too always!)...We will probably kick off around 4pm or so. Should be a great time...LSU game is on too, don't worry, you won't miss it!
let me know, I can give directions if you haven't been here before. I live in Kingston, 20 minutes from Turkey Creek.

That sounds good to me, Dave. We could even turn your frags into door prizes if that is what you wish to do with them. That would kind of roll the October/November meeting into one because of the Thanksgiving holidays. What do you guys think?
 
I need to know sooner rather than later... I was going to put that invert order in on Monday or Tuesday... Besides, as everyone knows I'm wanting to go up to Cincy that day, but won't if we're having the meeting and I need to distribute inverts... LMK
 
head count? I have had a few people from the reef club say they were coming...just curious...getting a keg too, if you like that type of thing...

I *might* be able to drag Brent along if there's a keg...maybe. Then he can probably stand the reef geeks a bit more.
