Octo Extreme Skimmer KO Club

You don' seem to be getting the scfh, most do
If I remember right, I got @30 and after a week went up (to 34).
I can see why you not happy, you need to find out why your drawing low #'s...

Edit: I think I got 27/28 with the MSX wheel.

So after 3 days I had less than a cup of skimmate with the MW... Trying to convince Jeremy at PA to convince Coralvue to swap me out my old body for the new one...
What am I doing wrong that others are doing right?
Stable water level, ~9", MW, and have fooled with the water level IN the skimmer according to what guys are saying they are running it here...

Anyother ideas?

JR ****** 7.5 to 8" of water. the octx takes quite a while to break in
where is bubble break set ? can you post pic's?

Zip-- are you not happy with performance? (many on RC said it was not needed, others say, get the large, if you what to try something)

Well got my new 200 today and seems like it will be a good skimmer, like the new cone extended neck. After installing the large PPW put it in the sump and within 3hrs it is skimming.

Very nice! If I had known they were coming out with that skimmer, I would not have bought the hurricone!
I am thinking this body style takes advantage of a cone style, but has better contact time

I really like the looks of the new skimmers- with the bubbleblaster pumps also!

I have had the Octo since january so its had plenty of time to break in. I have tried having the bubble break anywhere from right where the coning starts and up to where the cone meets the beginning of where the collection cup sits, and sometimes higher if I really wanted to flirt with a wet skimmate...That just ends up overfilling the cup.

I have seen the new Super Octopus with the bubbleblaster and to me that looks like a nice alternative. Looks like their Hurricone at a better price and the BB pump has a clear volute, looks sweet.

I guy on another forum rigged the BB pump to his Extreme and it already looks like the pump is really rocking

Thanks

Wonder where he bought the bubblebaster pump?
IMHO the extreme 200 is it best skimmer going for the least amount of bucks! If you can forget the minor "quirks" the sicce pump has. I really creates more bubbles than most at very low wattage!

Do you have a link?
No, I don't and unfortunately, that guy doesn't post on that board much so it might take me a while to find out.
I forgot to ask Dave at CV who has them or how to get them.
