We've talked about membership cards. I had business cards made here, Vista Print

Instead of reinventing the wheel we could have cards made for about $15. If somebody could find an appropriate logo here or on another printing site I think that would be the cost effective solution to membership cards.

Agu, you mentioned changing the name of the club. What did you have in mind?

Don't have a specific idea but having Sarasota (and possibly Fl near by ) as the first word could help in searches for people looking for us. It's just an idea to raise our profile. I'm not married to the idea, just want to promote the club to a wider audience.

I see it as an outlet for local commerce. A place where the LFS, coral farmer, or overactive fragger can sell or trade corals. The goal would be to encourage captive propagation at whatever level without the restrictions necessary in an international forum.

Keeping it restricted to local transactions would eliminate a lot of the headaches associated with shipping, and the questionable transactions that can result.

It can also be seen as a perk of being a member of the local club.

I'm new to saltwater tanks and just heard about your group today at a LFS. I'm not sure how much I can help...but I'm definately excited that there is a club in my area! I'd be interested in coming to your meeting(s)....if you'd want a newbie

Cant do the 26th(work) unless the meeting goes past 9pm. Want to hold the meeting at Chilis or applebees, LOL

Looks like a Friday evening isn't going to work based on posts and pms/emails I've received.

Brian Greene is hosting a regional meeting the second Saturday in Nov. Guess that will be our next meeting. I'll post a thread about that meeting after talking to Brian.
