Mike you don't want to wear the stinky stripe like Erik did last year after cutting acans and the blade slinging stuff all night?

Uhhhh....

No thank you!

I had sent in my $$ fir a new membership a few weeks ago. Which line will I need to stand in ? Also where is the aquatics building @ the zoo? Is the employee parking lot clearly marked ?as this time of year it will be dark

You'll want to PM John Janda (Bowman) our Membership chair to see if he got your membership info. I don't think the employee lot is labeled Employee Lot (I can't remember) but it is fairly easy to find. I think it's the only place you can turn into up there.

I hope the club signs inside the aquatics building explain and help things move along.

The aquatics building is in the upper level of the zoo, past the old admininstration building to the left and at the end of the pathway through the picnic area. The club website used to have a map once. Maybe it is still there somewhere.

The employee parking lot entrance is fairly well marked but if you miss it, you will notice pretty fast that the old Fulton Road bridge is gone. It's well blocked so no chance of driving off where it used to be. The parking lot is "adequately" lit, but the path to the aquatics building is poorly lit in one direction. For some reason the lights, walking in, seem to glare more than illuminate. On the way back to your car, the lights are behind you and it is not a problem. Sometimes in fall or winter I bring a flashlight to counteract the "walking into headlights" feeling and sometimes I wish I had.

I guess the map is still on the club website.

The middle map is for the usual meeting place in the administration building. The bottom map shows the aquatics building and the white oval is the parking lot. The gate into the zoo from the parking lot, and the walkway to follow to the aquatics building is kind of fuzzy on the map, but "walk toward the light" and as long as you stay on the path, you can't miss it.

Well I made a new map that has the parking and walking pathways marked for both meeting locations. I hope it helps anyone that hasn't been to a meeting yet. I know it is confusing but you can usually just pull in and see follow the people carrying coolers :)

Here ya go... I will try to get this put up on the website soon.
If you need the full sized picture click the thumbnail image.

The club is also providing gloves to use while fragging. If you are allergic to latex, or in need of S or XXL sized gloves, please PM me so I can make arrangements for you, otherwise we will have M, L and XL gloves for member use.

I believe we could also use a few more demonstrator volunteers (we will make sure that you get frags if you've paid to be a part of the workshop and if we get enough volunteers we can rotate people).

Just a few more days!!!

I checked the map image and it seems to be having trouble loading so I uploaded it to another server. Hope this one shows now.

This meeting shows you how to make different types of frags. You learn all the techniques and you take home the frags you made.

We will have plugs and glue if you wish to mount them there.....but as we will discuss...some people like to wait for them to acclimate to their tank and heal a little before they mount them and unmounted they are a little easier to transport home. It will be up to you if you want to mount them before you take them home

Me too :D ... we are all waiting to see what could be rounded up for the club. I think we will all be surprised at the meeting.if anything is indicated before that I will post it ASAP. I want to know just as much as you guys.

Just so you know, these corals aren't ordered in weeks or months in advance. We get them from Dan the day of the event so nobody has to hold them (and possibly kill them)

Hi everybody, I'm new to the forum and am enjoying it vary much.
