Did you spot all of the caulerpa and stuff? I think that this is making the octopus behave in a very interesting way. I have noticed that this captive bred octopus seems to act a bit differently while crawling about than a wild caught one. Seems as if it has no experience of this stuff at all.....
EG when the octopus was getting used to the caulerpa it used to attack it and still does.... kinda like a Tarzan swinning thing??? For the first couple of days it preffered plastic pipes, maybe that was what it was used to? Now it lives in the live rcok. Dunno if you have spotted anything different with the captive babies? Or maybe this is just vintage bimac???
Anyway, this little guy is getting left to its own devices until it is a bit bigger.
