my protein skimmer didn't come with the fine needle valve adjustment screw...

i'm not actually sure if they do come with it, when look at websites it doesn't specify

my problem is, i can't adjust the *bubbles* to flow into the collection cup at the right amount.

this is very frustrating considering i spent $250 on this fine piece of equipment...

any idea's?

did the manufacturer forgot to add a component of the skimmer?

or am i doing somthing wrong?

anyone?

i know everyone has a protein skimmer???

does anyone even use the valve or do they leave the line completely open??

as of now the bubbles are about an inch short of the *over flow* point to the collection cup...

there is a arm that goes up and you can adjust the water height this way also...

i have this arm raised to the top and still to no prevail

please help!?!?!?!

The stand pipe is how you adjust the height..you dont tweak the air.

How long have you had it? If you didnt rinse it before putting it in, it'll probably take a week or two to break in. Also, check the venturi and make sure its not obstructed. A lot of them end up with the rubber seal covering the venturi hole partially.

ok so i'll give it a week or two and see if there is any changes..

do you think i should run my seaclone for the time being to make up for the lack of skimming from my octopus?
