My LFS has a "octopus coral" I couldnt find any info on them around here. Does anyone have some tips on keeping said coral?
I have 96W PC on a 33G cube.

Thanks

Frogspawn? I think it sometimes goes by that name? Lots of branches and dots on tentacles?

Whenever I get octopus in it's frogspawn that doesn't have any green, usually brown or purplish and as mentioned bumpier ;)

My LFS had some. They looked like torches with a hammer like tip. Another one of those in-between Euphyilia varieties.

I have an octopus coral. I've had it for 3-4 years and it is similar is requirements as a frogspawn. The octopus's skeleton looks different than a frogspawn. It is circular like a scolymia, but it has tentacles like a frogspawn. I have had many baby buds on my parent colongy, and they grow into circular disc-shapes also.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah Mobert thats about what it looked like except more translucent and a more orange/brown/purpleish color.

And after all this when I went to the LFS on monday morning it had been sold. Bummer.

But thanks for everyones help.

There are a few different species of frogspawns. Eup. Yamensis and Eup. paradivsa usually are called octospawns for a generic name. Excuse me if I misspelled any of the scientific names. The are one of my favorite corals.
