Are these skimmers any good? I see they run a needle wheel, how do they compare to the coralife?

We have been running one here at the shop on a small seahorse tank for a little while and so far so good. I would say it pulls a little more than a standard bakpak, but not quite a s much as a Remora or Coralife would.
There have been quite a few people lately putting airstones onto their bakpak skimmers and the performance has been pretty darn incredible, surpassing a Remora, and in some cases a Remora Pro. So for an extra $15 for an air pump, airline tubing, and a little wooden airstone, it's a pretty good deal for some good skimming power from a small hang-on.

i have a recently set-up bak-pak and am underwhelmed by skimmate....
