Octopus Xtreme 250 footprint size and sump size

I am a long time reader and first time poster ... I am interested in purchasing a 200 gallon tank in the future as a upgrade to my 90 reef...and a OPE250 in the near future to replace my ASM..I have a 20 long sump and was wondering if the OPE 250 would fit...I know the foot print is 16x16 but I don't believe that to be the circumference. Is this fit possible?

Hi,

Unfortunately that would not fit for you. The pumps hanging off the skimmer body, as well as the outflow pipe would be the limiting factors here.

The Extreme 200 would fit. Also, have you thought about going with an external skimmer?
