Odd cardinal behavior

My banggai cardinal has been in my 75 for about 6 weeks or so now. Has been doing fine. 3 weeks ago I added a long-tentacle plate coral, and now the cardinal appears to be hosting in it. The coral doesn't seem to care, but I'm worried the cardinal is going to get hurt or even killed and eaten by it. Has anyone else seen a cardinal do something like this? Oddly enough, my two occelaris don't host in the plate coral(or anything, really), and seems they really couldn't care less about it.

Okay, thanks, but I wonder if he's gonna figure out it isn't an anemone. I guess I can't stop him if that is what he wants to do. I've just heard of plate corals eating fish--though I target feed it so hopefully it isn't that hungry.
