Odd Clown fish Behavior

Sorry to hear that. I lost two due to sepreate instances a few months back. Sometimes they can be too aggresive and stress the other out to death. Obviously I do not know that is what happened in your case, but it does happen.

OH wow. that sucks John. I bought a pair a few years back and the tiny male was chased by a spotted Hawk fish. went right in to the overflow and died. I waited a year and bought a new male from SA and they mated right up. were a happy cute couple that I think layed regularly under their nems. I sold them for like $25 when I moved.

Well Hopefully the female will be alright I thought about maybe trying to get another fish to add but since they had been in there so long whatever I added might be messed with I know he had to have died before the powerhead since that one is the one for the skimmer and has some air turbing through the intake he wasnt cut up or anything just dunno what Happen both went from swimming around the tank to hiding and now this...

Man sorry about your lost. I had my blue lip in my sump and got stuck on the intake to the pump of my itech Skimmer. But he lived.

For your lost I got a SA fancy clown if you want him.
Also I'm working on a group buy with SA again.

Thanks Zef for the offer I thought about trying to add another but with me trying to finish up on my 125 I think I'll hold off on adding anymore fish just because so much could have went wrong dont want it to be anything inside the tank and lose another atleast I still have one and maybe she can hang out till the new tank is done if it was done would def get him from you tho Zef You've been a great help :)

Food for thought... I skimmed thru the thread... I dint know if this is the case... However... In the list of inhabitants I read that you only had the two fish.. If that's the case... That may have been your problem... It's not uncommon for fish to hide when they are kept solo or in small numbers (2)... This is a natural instinct... (there are no other fish around... So it must not be safe to come out)... Not sure if this applies... It is sometimes stressful for fish being solo... food for thought... Sorry for your loss... Hope this helps :-/

Well they have been like this for a year if not more and it never seemed to be a problem as they swam around played etc Hadnt been able to see the female yet going to try and feed her later and see if I get anything Thank you Newwave Zef and everyone else for your help during this
