Odd Clownfish Behavior

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I just have a question about my misbar Ocellaris clownfish. I recently upgraded from a 12 gallon to a 37 gallon tank. I've had the clown in the 12 for about 7 months and he was always swimming activley around the tank. Now in the 37 gallon he seems to stay in one spot. I have other fish in the tank that are larger than him, but he was with two of them in the 12 gallon. They sometimes aggresvily go at him, but on the same side he also goes towards them sometimes too. I just noticed him today hiding in one spot among the rocks.

Is it that he is getting bullied in the larger tank? I've been thinking about setting the 12 back up and putting him in it since he seemed more comfortable in there. Or could it be a bacterial infection that is causing this odd behavior?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

what kind of fish are with him?

I have a juvenille Koran Angel, Clown Tang, two pajama cardinals, orange firefish and a small hawkfish, and I think that he is getting bullied too much. Woke up this morning and he had a small red wound on his one side, and didn't leave the corner too much today. I'm going to set up my 12-gallon tomorrow for him.

Side note-I just bought a coral-banded reef shrimp the other day. Do these shrimp ever show aggression to fish? I see him raise his small claws to fish when the go by, and was wondering if maybe he wounded the clown...

Thanks.

Like I stated in your other thread, the Koran angel and clown tang have no business in a 37 -- would need something in the order of 500 gallons for them. Get those 2 fish out of your tank and things will improve. Also, I would get rid of the coral banded shrimp, they tend to get aggressive in smaller tanks.
