Odd observation...

So last night I'm looking at my tank after the lights went out (checking up on my new Mandarin, thanks Hung!) and I see something that has me a bit suprised.

There are 100's of what look to be baby cerith snails (long thin shell) all over the rocks. This is strange because I don't know where they could have come from, as far as I know, I don't have any certh snails in my tank.

I too have these rascals and they are pyramidal snails. I got a six line wrasse hoping they might take care of them but I still have lots that come out when the lights go down. I also have a clam (which they are known to harm) but so far so good. I haven't found any way of getting rid of them.

I have those same things also and they reproduce like crazy, not sure of the name though.

AH HA! Now I know where they came from!

probably, they are everywhere in my tank... I don't think they are a nuisance or anything. I also have those little star thinks that are everywhere also, I don't have any wrasses but I'm sure when I get some they will eat for months off of them.

I just think it's cool when new stuff shows up in the tank. I don't have any clams or anything else they could possibly hurt so it doesn't bother me any.

Now I have 3 types of fast breeding "micro" snails in my tank. It's a whole different world when the lights are off.
