I noticed about 4-5 days ago my sailfin seemed kind of lathargic and doing alot of drifting in the current rather than the constant pacing it used to do. At the time it had a full belly and looked healthy otherwise.
Ive been feeding with nori, rubbed with garlic (its favorite) and it seems to eat a bit, do a little choking and puke it back up. I think it must be getting something in the way of nutrition.....maybe. Its getting skinny now though.
Everything else, corals and fish are healthy and water parameters are good. My suspicion is that it may have eaten some sylicone, yea I know that sounds strange, but sometimes it comes loose from my starboard and other parts of the tank. About a month ago it had a chunk of silicone sticking out its mouth which it eventually caughed out and I was able to retrieve. If this is the case, can the fish digest it eventually or is it going to be an unpassable restriction. Ive never heard anyone else having this problem and its just an educated guess on the problem.
