Odd Toadstool

My toadstool has looked like this for months. It's stalk seems to keep getting longer. He's always seemed happy, opens everyday but the head hasn't gotten any bigger. Last week the head seemed to start splitting. Should i leave him be or maybe cut part of the stalk and move the head?

Toadstools can be funny like that. It almost looks like it's searching for more light to me.
