Odd Yellow Tang Markings

Hi,

I have a Yellow Tang in my QT, been in about 3 weeks. Suddenly these unusual markings are appearing, a deeper color, almost orange in the fins and tail. Behavior is good, still eating and has fattened up a lot since I got it. I have attached a picture, but it isn't very good, I will try to get a better one but I wanted to get any comments I could on this.

I would have to call it rust colored, probably closer to brown.

Are you running an air stone in the QT tank? I'm wondering if it could be from lack of oxygen?

Maybe look up septicemia from vibrio or aeromonas Infection !?!?

Hi,

The QT is well aerated. I keep my QT as a permanent setup with a wet dry filter and a protein skimmer, ghost feed when nothing is in the QT to keep the filter active.

However, it appears to going away on it's own. Only about half of the previously covered body area is still there. The fish is also still eating like a little piggy.
