Ok so I have a small clam in my tank, its about 2" long. After acclimating it for an hour I placed in on a peice of live rock about 15" from my lighting, I have 4 T5s, 2 marine glo actanics, 1 16K power glow and 1 6500K life glow. It sits on the rock fine until it opens up then it falls over. I tried placing it on the sand above a small peice of rock to attatch its foot to and it falls over when it opens up.
Any ideas how to get it to stay upright long enough to extend its foot? Thanks for any help.

I would try to stack some other rocks around it so that it can't fall. Place them close enough to the clam so that when it does open and start to fall, it is prevented from doing so.
