Off colored False clown?

I purchased two clown fish from a company online 4 months ago and they were happy! Well 2 weeks later one died soo I felt really bad for the one left. I decided to get one more. I just ordered another one from the same company. well when it came I noticed it looked the same but a different color. It was 3 shades lighter. a mix between yellow and orange, it was very light compared to the first, but it has the exact same stripes and everything. Is it a hybrid or is it just young and needs to change colors?

I really like the little guy its different, and the first one warmed up to it first thing.

usually diet has an effect on color... so does the parent fish... same thing like some people are naturally darker than others...

I imagine it could be stress from the whole shipping thing too.

I got a pair of orchid dottybacks and then came in two different colors. One was MUCH lighter, very pale. I was told that when they left the shop tthey were the same color. It was a reputable seller so I believed them.

It took a month or so for it to return to its normal color.

i recall reading that they develop colour and markings throughout their lifetime, could it be that this fish is still very small and will gradually darken?

maybe? but it is swimming around happy and healthy looking..
