Sorry again for the lack of posts.
Anyway... I bought a couple of fish that my kids liked. A blue damsel and a three striped damsel. The three stripe (Dillon) caught Ick and I have been trying to get rid of it.
It got ick after the first week of being in the tank. By the second week it was all over him. I did a five gallon water change and a few days after it appeared to be going away. Found out that this was just a cycle in the parasites life, and that it would come back.
My LFS told me to get rid of the fish, but instead I decided to try and save the fish by lowering the salinity and adding a cleaner shrimp.
I managed to get the salinity down to about .021, this along with the shrimp seems to work. Its has been four days now that dillon is completely free from visible parasites. Have to say that it has been fun watching "PePe" clean Dillon.
