I went to the Ft Worth Arts Festival yesterday, which is held annual in downtown Ft Worth. Main Street is closed for four days and a couple of hundred booths are filled with various artistic accomplishments. There were many live bands that appeared on one of three stages over those days, and of course there was plenty to eat and drink. I took some pictures of what appealed to me. And I almost bought something this year, but didn't cave in to desire. ;)

Since this is the Photography forum, check these out. I asked him how he created them, and was told it was a series of shots all overlapping.

He had more, but I didn't feel comfortable taking pictures of his pictures.

This beast one Best of Show.

This could be mine, if I had extra funds lying around.

This was one of many vases, that had a hidden surprise beneath.

A street musician playing what looks like a gourd instrument.

And here's a booth of unique instruments.

These were birdhouses, apparently.

The detail was amazing, with tiny little metal ladders leading up to the top doorway on some pieces.

One person used sparkplugs for his fun little objects. There were hundreds of scenes, but I didn't stay long enough to get good macros.

I heard he uses 1000 or 10,000 sparkplugs a year.

This person comes every year with some amazing moving ornamentals to put in your backyard. Sorry these pictures don't provide much detail. These move with wind, or with small motors.

This artist created metal items that were whimsical, and also moved.

The bird's enormous wings flapped and the head bobbed. The booth had "PLEASE TOUCH" signs everywhere. ;)

The painter's motion was likened to working the canvas.

There were also metal art in the street's flower beds. Like this big spider.

And this woman preferred to make Sign montages from various cities across the nation. This one was of Ft Worth, with many signs I've seen in the past 25+ years.

There was tons more, with booths for children, rock climbing, face painting, free samples of stuff... I'm glad I went and that the weather was nice.

Nice pics! Some amazing stuff.

Not off topic at all this forum is for fellow RC members to share what they have with anything to do with photography;)

Wow, Melev! That is a cool show! Thanks for sharing! I like the birdhouses. That person sure put a lot of detail into those!

Thank you both.

I don't know. I enjoyed the effect of them, but didn't look at them closely to determine that. :o
