GARRY'S 12 ft BOMMIE STYLE UK REEF

Amazing! your more interested in commenting on the expression on my wife's face rather than making a good or bad comment regarding the tank. Wow.
It really comes down to personal tastes, and yours are the tastes that matter most as you have to live with it. For myself, I would have tied a couple of those piles together, however loosely, just to create a more coherent composition. But you probably disagree and that's okay, too.

Just a question, I see you don't have a tank why is that? However at least you have an opinion concerning the tank unlike the fool who thinks it's funny to comment on my wife.

Unemployed aquarium maintenance person. Owning a tank is not a possibility in my present circumstances. I do have a modicum of experience, however. Sorry if that doesn't meet your standards.

I see you have alot of tangs that traditionally seem to attract ich. Curious as to what you do for treating an outbreak? Your tank looks stunning and I love, love all the tangs.

The length on this thing is awesome! I see you ran your returns and overflow lines though the stand. Wondering if this serves a purpose or just looks clean! I like it either way :) seems like a good idea.

Touch wood I've never had a problem with ich and would be pretty helpless like all reefers if it was to happen. I try to prevent it with more than adequate UV, ozone and keeping the fish happy with what they like most, lots of food. And of course quarantining any new fish. I also think that the size of the tank helps in allowing the problematic fish the space they need.

Thank you.
I wanted the base/stand to extend beyond the back and sides of the tank so that I could actually stand on it and lean in for maintenance or placing corals, making the piping go through the base was the most direct route and just a simpler and tidier way of doing it.

Thanks! That's great idea! Definitely something I had not considered. I don't have nearly as big a tank so wouldn't need to stand on the perimeters but still looks clean. Beautiful tank! Looking forward to more updates!

Beautiful installation ! Are you happy with the coverage of the 6 Radiums?

I recently installed 8 over a 96x33 tank. I love the control of the leds. Hoping my next electric bill makes me even happier.

Very cleanly done. Nothing like some living art to have breakfast in front of.

Any chance you could put some pictures up of the sump? interested to see see the guts of it :)

Also i noticed in one of the first pictures you had an I-beam as a tank support. Such a great idea as it would give you heaps of space between supports. May steal this idea in the future if i ever get the change to go big

Love the back room area. Tank is beautiful.

Thanks Mark.:love1:

To tell the truth i couldn't afford 8 so 6 now and 2 when funds allow the other 2. But with the wide angle lenses i am very happy with the six and will not be getting any more. Gaz.

I assume your name is Johnny, thanks for that, Ill get some pics up as soon as i can.

Looks very nice. I particularly like the group of yellow tangs; have they been in for a while? Never could get a group to work myself - either disease or pecking order always seemed to do them in! Though I never had a 12 foot tank either  Also, what are the two anemones - hard to tell from the FTS, but looks like a haddoni and magnifica (or maybe large bubble tip)?

Magnifica and a riteri, there is also a bubble and a couple of carpets. I originally had 6 yellows for about 2 years from my previous tank but due to pecking order I ended up with 4 and a year ago I put in another 6 smaller ones totalling 10, they are all very happy at the moment but i do expect a fight to the death in the future between a couple of the big ones, but hey thats nature. Gaz
