Officer Nominations

It's time to find a successor for the positions of secretary and treasurer. We'd like to thank Dave and Howard for their efforts and wish them well in the future.

With that in mind, nominations for the positions of secretary and treasurer are now officially open and will remain so until midnight on Saturday, January 27th.

We ask that before nominating anyone you verify that person whom you wish to nominate is willing and able to serve in the position. Nominations will be made by making a post on Reef Central stating who you would like to nominate and for which position you nominate them.

At midnight on Saturday, January 27th. voting for those two positions will begin and will continue until midnight on February 3rd.

Voting will be accomplished by sending an email titled "Officer Vote" to slashclub@yahoo.com and containing the names of the nominees and positions that you are voting for.

Results of the vote will be made public on Sunday, February 4th. after all votes are counted.

Don't mean to stir up the pot if it goes back to that Our club is better than their club thread but why do the officers keep quitting? Or are the members not allowed to know about potential problems with the club?

That's something you might want to ask them.

As far as potential problems are concerned I'm not aware of any.

As far as the "our club is better than their club" thing goes, I don't believe anyone has ever stated that nor should they. The two clubs are different.

I was referring to the ruffled feathers that happened in the thread about a joint event with the two clubs. Just wondering if the stepping down of officers has stemmed from that. I don't think anyone actually said our club was better or their club was better nor do I want this thread to start the whole thing back up. I am sure they will both offer their reasons- hopefully in this thread which was why I asked.

I figured since lonnie has money buried in his backyard, it's kind of like a treasure. So I put 2 and 3 together and figured he's experienced
