My large one is out all day long whereas my smaller one comes out when the MH's are out. They've been in 18 months.

My little fish has ventured out into the tank the last couple of days more and more. He comes out as dusk and dawn more than any other time. Today he is out with the morning lights on at least! 2 Blue and a Pink/purple ati bulb.

Hopefully he stays out when all 6 come on.

Interesting ... I noticed that too ... I am sure as with any fish there are "slight" variations to the patterns and coloration and then some that look almost identical to each other!

Anyone else think his eye looks weird? Or is that just how They look when small? He is about 2" so a lot larger than I had anticipated actually. About the size of my clowns.

Loving the pics and info on this thread. I managed to pick two of these guys up yesterday. One is slightly larger than the other. The larger has darker blotches and sometimes chanses the smaller one; yet to witness anything malicious.

The larger of the two fed straight away and both are swimming around during the day, however im only using blue T5's whilst im waiting for halide bulbs to be delivered.

Do you have concerns over the eyes as on closer inspection of my two the smaller has different looking eyes?

They all have very similar markings. Here are my 3. I never know who is who in pictures. The size quickly distinguishes them IRL.

Ohhhhh ya.The male is a great big honker. He also has this yellow... ummm... glob on his 1st dorsal ray. We've had them going on 3 years.

So how long for that swim bladder to acclimate? Poor dude seems to have some tail lift!

What is the season for borbs? I have been looking on multiple wholesaler lists for these awesome fish and have no luck in the last couple of months.
