Save you the trouble with Paypal. I made a claim with Paypal on an online purchase before and they ruled in favor of the seller. Read in fine print. They only cover quality of item if its an ebay item. I would call your bank directly. My bank told me to file a dispute with them. I let paypal know and they said to refund me half to avoid trouble with my bank. At that point I was tired and just glad I got something back so I took it.
They only way to get money back with paypal is if the seller never shipped your item.

If you said that it died in your tank, the bank probably won't refund you as they would think you are at fault. You should state that you received a sick fish, therefore item is not as described, which is what you are telling us.

I picked up a pair this week and, while it was through a local connection, I did communicate with NY Aquatics, having seen they regularly have them. Not disputing the previous posters' experiences, just stating that my communications from them were polite and helpful. Hopefully this is a case where more than one person is answering messages and they can correct whomever isn't handling things correctly
So, I purchased my pair from a wholesaler and picked them up at the airport yesterday. I don't usually do long acclimations on shipped fish, due to ammonia being released as soon as the bag is opened, these were shipped in large bags with huge amounts of water. Started with 6" of 78° water in a bucket with a 50w heater on the bottom. Floated the bag in that and ran a slow drip from the tank for 3 hours, changing half the water in each bag at 90 and again at 135 minutes. All seems well today with one staying back in the rock and the other in a front corner, where I was able to observe her eating several times. Keeping my fingers crossed: did everything I could think of bit still:.pricey mistake if it goes south!

Are you referring to Fathead/Sunburst Anthias (Serranocirrhitus latus)? Was hoping to try some with my borbs... maybe not.

Yes, I was referring to my Fathead clan. I ended up taking the big borb out of the 1.2M tank and kept only the smallest one. Since that posting, I've also consolidated tanks (just running the 2M tank for the moment) and the aggression is not what it was. I believe that it has to do with the tank length and that the big male Fathead and Borb do not run into each other as much any more.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply.
My display is 48" long (roughly 1.2M), so will likely pass on trying to mix them. Love both these species, but it's not worth stressing them out

Totally agree. I like my fathead clan way more than the borb, so the latter got the eviction notice.

Update:
Both borbs arrived at the airport and were shipped in several gallons of water, each; allowing me to do a very thorough drip acclimation without fear of a big ammonia release
The two fish interact occasionally but, at present, have chosen opposite ends of the tank, for now. Both were eating the next day and continue to do so. I have them in my nps tank, in large part due to the large feeding regimen in there and are being fed several times per day

I recently got a beautiful male Borbonius for an awesome price.
I've had him a week and intially he looked in a little rough shape, color was drab and some fin damage, however he was eating.
Since then he has colored up beautfully and his fins are all repaired but I'm curious as to his swimming behavior. I'm not sure if it's a swim bladder issue or not. But when we we swims his tail is above eyes, so he swims angled down.
I've never seen him have trouble staying down towards the bottom of the tank.
He still doesn't come out a ton, prefers to perch upside down under a rock. However it does appear that he is coming out more each day.
Should I be concerned about his swimming pattern? If it is a swim bladder issue can they get over by themselves?
