I got a CL steal last night. 5 nice shelf pieces of fully cured LR for $30. I plan on reaquascaping my 30L this weekend. I have 99% of my corals on discs so I need space for them

thats a good deal. I would worry too much to use someone elses live rock though..I just got 25 lbs of aquamaxx rock from marine depot, on sale.. dry as a bone and very nice. I'll be placing them one at a time for the next few months..

I physically went to the guys house and selected the rock. Tank had been going for a few years. Looked clean, no bubble algae or hair.

Anyone have one of the new 10gl? I've been away from the hobby for several years... this is my first attempt at a nano, previously had a 110 and a 75.

I had the 16 now I have the 30L. Nano's are easier IMO due to he simplicity of having an all-in-one and the speed in which water changes can be done. I do a weekly 5 gallon change in roughly 5 minutes. I dont think I will ever go back to midsize and large tanks.

I've been off this thread for a while, so sorry if anyone's already asked this, but does anyone know if the tunze 9004 will fit any of the IM nano tanks?

Also, since I've been gone for so long, I suppose I should post an update. I'm no longer part of the IM family (for now). I decided it would be a good idea to put a cue ball through the front of my tank back in November. It was an interesting evening. But thankfully, I had no losses whatsoever, and everything is doing well. The only downside is that invaded to revert back to my ugly rimmed 20g tall with all kinds of mechanicals showing. If anyone has an IM 20, 38, or 40 that they're wanting to sell, please pm me! Thanks!
The Tunze 9004 does fit the IM 38. I have one in the larger back chamber. however i did have to put it in with the baffles facing the next sump chamber vs. the baffles facing the overflow. thats the only way it'd fit

Hello fellow IM owners.
The pump is getting tired in my nuvo mini 38. What's a good replacement pump? I have a mag 5 I've been toying around using. I have not check to see if it will fit in the back yet. There also the issue of mating up the plumbing. If it's at all possible it like to t off the new pump to run my media reactor. I have a 2 little fishes 150. I would appreciate anyone thought about my mag 5 plan or different ideas.

So far it is working very good. I replaced the stock pump with the mag 5. Just got some 1/2" ID tubing and some fittings at Lowes. The pump is quite and supplies more than enough flow for the reactor. If there are specific aspects of the mod you would like to know please ask.

Can anybody tell me if this is how Ghost skimmers are supposed to sound. It's new out of the box, but still, its extremely loud when compared to just the IM return pump and Jebao RW-8.

Fish: 1 Blue/Green Chromis, 1 Picasso Clown, 1 Candy Hog, 1 small Watchman goby.
Inverts: Female Arrow Crab, Red Pistol shrimp large, Small Tiger pistol shrimp, 4-5 Blue Legs, 1 Red leg, 3 Nass Snails, Red star, 1 Skunk Cleaner.
Lights: Current USA LED lights 24"
Filtration: Standard Overflows and 1 hang on Topfin10 for extra in the back.

I'm going to replace my two factory pumps on my innovative marine SR 60. The factory pumps are rated at 317 gph. I have two pumps that are split off to 4 returns. These pumps are a bit on the loud side so I'm wanting to replace them with some Sicce Syncra pumps. What do you think my best option would be:
Option 1: 2 Sicce Syncra 1.5 (357 gph) 1 pump per 2 returns as the stock setup is.
Option 2: 1 Sicce Syncra 3.0 (714 gph) 1 pump for all 4 returns

I guess what I don't understand is what is the difference than getting a all in one tank like the IM 40 or a tank and having the sump built below.
Is one better than the other? It just seems to me that the all in one is just a little simpler and there is a lot less maintenance or things that could go wrong.
I am possibly wanting the IM 40 or getting a 60 gallon cube with a sump. I will tell you that after some research the IM 40 is less money. I already have one MP10 and a kessill A360 light.
Also, has the IM 60 been discontinued?

I have a fusion 20. I love it. I also bought the new version of the ghost desktop skimmer. It's broken in and the micro bubbles have really been cut down. I am still getting some micro bubbles. Anyone have any suggestions? I have it in the right side skimmer section. Should the skimmer be in a different section? Does it matter which way it is in the section? Maybe it's not the skimmer? Any advice would be nice.
