Not sure what others are seeing. I have a 7524-40 and there is no knob. It is digital. No reverse mode but who cares?

Very different models.

That is a great pump. Currently using the exact one but this one is in nicer shape. Paid $500 for mine but mine came with a dual head.

You really have to throw out those lowball offers on eBay. Got mine for $375 when listed for $650 awhile back. Although, I think they are getting more popular which may be driving up the $$.

I switched my masterflex over to pushing instead of pulling. I would also suggest removing any teflon tape and using teflon paste on all threaded fittings. I use Oatey Great White with PTFE. Lastly, if the output pressure is too high, you may get excess CO2 in the reactor. I keep mine at 3 PSI. Also note that with a flow rate of 25-30ml/min, the bubble rate should be around 1 bubble every 5 seconds to maintain a reactor pH of around 6.5-6.6.

Scott if this is the setting on your 500 gal tank what is the alk in the tank kept at .
Thanks in advance
I should have added my system is a 1200 gallon moderate sps
Where is a good starting point.

Do you already run a reactor or just starting from scratch?

theracer reactor is up and running 20 ml through reactor 2 bpm set point is 6.6 . Media is reborn. I feel I am doing something wrong having a hard time keeping alk in tank stable. I would like to keep tank around 10 dkh .

If you can't keep dKH up to where you want it than you are not adding enough to keep up with use. Decrease the ph a bit either by increasing PSI or the bubble rate. If you get the ph to 6.5 and still cannot maintain the dKH you want than increase the flow a bit and readjust either the psi or bubble rate. It can take a while to get to the right balance.

It is pretty simple if tank dKH is going up increase the ph of the reactor. If tank dKH is going down, decrease the Ph of the reactor. Reactor ph is adjusted either by changing pSI or bubble rate or both.

Aim for 6.4~6.5. Once there bump both effluent and gas by 10% each until it becomes stable. Once stable use two part to get your 10dkh.
